Wuh?! Why does the red head drugs company woman suddenly openly despise Oswald? Bit of a lurch in characterisation there!
Torchwood... Page 55
I think she was just finally having a moment of honesty.
Aww ickle baby waving.

We need to see that though, not nice as pie for three or four episodes, then suddenly openly hostile out of the blue; where's the join? Just feels odd.
It's a mess but a beguiling mess
not as good as Children of Earth
Hopefully some aliens will show up soon. (I have a suspicion where they will come from)
It's going to have to take some big twists and escalations to stretch this out for another five or six episodes! It's watchable, but it doesn't feel like a whole lot has happened really.

That is because not a whole lot has happened.
It definitely feels as though a bit of momentum did gather tonight but rather a waste of Ellis. She could have been developed. Getting a bit fed up with the family stuff, which is probably what they are going to use for padding.
I am reaching the point where I am hating myself for watching this.
Best carry on then!

I think it's part of her job to suck up to people she dosen't like, she would never have convinced Oswald to talk to Ficorp if she was a bitch to him everytime they met.
Remember, being a ruthless spindoctor for an evil multinational drugs company, does not equal supporting paedophilia.
Lawyers who defend paedophiles do not nessesarily support them, but it is there job to uphold peadophiles rights to a fair trial, this is a bit different (she isn't protecting his rights), but still similar (as she is putting aside her personal opinons for what she sees as the greater good or her own personal gain).
She seams to support the drugs company fully, becoming overjoyed when Oswald gets the media on his side, she does not love Oswald but she loves Ficorp/Her Job. Ficorp need Oswald and she is using him to help Ficorp.
Possibly she is only working for Ficorp to protect something else, like her family or something, its too early to tell that though.
Quote: Kevin Murphy @ July 31 2011, 9:08 AM BSTHas there been much Who crossover in the past?
Not a hell of a lot. Mostly just to get it going in the first place.
Presumably to avoid questions like, "If everything has gone that much to shit, why hasn't The Doctor turned up to deal with it yet?"
There was that one truly awful cyberwoman episode.

That is a problem. I started thinking that this week.
But y'know. He's busy and shit.

It ruined some of my suspension of disbelief while watching Children of Earth. It was OK before that when they were only dealing with the occasional annoying alien running round Cardiff.
It is strange that it happens in the same Whonivese that has seen Darlek and Cyberman invasions that nobody ever mentions.
