Radio opportunity

Looks very interesting

"BBC Radio Drama North are looking for talented writers based in the North of England, with compelling stories to tell."

As a writer based in the South of England, it's not so interesting for me.

I've noticed a lot of BBC opps looking for Northern writers only.
One can only assume it's to do with the Beeb moving certain departments to Salford.

I think its a diversity thing. Not enough 'voices' from the north, apparently.

They just want people who know where the nice coffee is in Salford...

Dan

I live in Spain and come from the south. If I write with a scouse/northern accent do you think I'd stand a chance?
Can anyone tell me how to write with a scouse/northern accent?

I can learn yer to talk propa.

I didn't like the one they are about to produce [gypsies] That has been basically played out for real on the Gypsy wedding documentaries
