I've never seen stand up live. I imagine it to be as awkward as being at a small music venue where you make constant eye-contact with the singer. I hate that.
I don't tend to watch the current lot of standup shows like Live at the Applo and I'm not the biggest comedy panel show fan. So I think I'm getting the right balance. Although I've had enough of Jack Whithall, Rufus Hound and to a lesser extent David Mitchell (oh, I take that back ).
