COMIC: Naughty

Thought up by Mr Dave Chapman draw by me. I hate doing cars btw.

OK - well obviously it doesn't work then. Even Gav decided to abdicate any responsibility.

Worked for me :)

I thought this was good. Not sure why you both seem to think it doesn't.
Good work guys.

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Cheeky git, last time you moaned I didn't give credit :P I like it, it's a nice throw away simple gag.

It's ok, not the best so far.

It's not hilarious, it barely raises a smile. But it's still good. There's still a good thought there and the art is great.

There's definitely a good idea in there.
Although I did think that the first frame was just a title frame, but It's a close up is it??? I'm not sure

Is Mike a policeman by trade?

It's a close up I believe. What niggled me was "Is a Naughty Person On Board sign widely known? or is it even a real thing?" It's sets the joke up well but if it was on I'd seen before it would've been better.

It's a close up, but could work as title card.

Yeh he's a copper.

You could open these up.

"Little Princess on Board" to reveal Bowser/Kong (or whatever they're called) driving away?

"Little Monster on Board" to reveal Ghostbuster's ghost trap?

etc.

I like it.

Agree with Nil about opening up, but those yellow child car stickers are widely recognised enough, so don't agree that it has to be a sign already in use. You could get plenty more mileage out of making up your own.

I've seen the sign on cars and came up with the idea.

Mike is a policeman so I thought it might work.

Quite simply; It's brilliant. The gag and the illustrations.

Fascinates me how these simple 2d animations can contain so much life and nuance.

(My only advice to Gav is perhaps reconsider how prolific you are with these... There seems to be one or two or week, If I had the talent for these that you do I'd be cranking out several - at least - a week, and make it a very big deal, burn the midnight oil, you've created a world with these guys - I'd go all out Matt Groening on this - something this slick can open a lot of doors for you I'm certain of it)
