No, she went of her own accord.

Back to my nest now so catching up.

Got the mail today to say I'm through to the next stage - workshop with actors. Woo-hoo. Thanks Mike. Anyone else heard yet.

Just hoping Mike doesn't realise my plan is to get close so that I can kill him and take his place being paid to watch cricket.

Yep. I got that email too. :)

I didn't hear anything so I guess I didn't make it through. But well done to all who did!

Don't despair yet, Evan. There seems to be a 'standby' list going out.

Hi All
Thanks for all the submissions, there was a hell of a lot and it's been a pleasure reading them.
Just busy mailing everybody who sent sketches, to say if they were selected for the pilot. Out of the hundreds of sketches we've picked seven for the pilot and another 14 as standby. If we get commissioned then we will re-visit all the sketches again and contact all the writers again.
We are also busy with a website that will allow writers to have their sketches produced and filmed, using SA actors and directors. This will allow writers to create a showreel and we will start compiling the sketches into a broadcast format and duration to sell to broadcasters and VOD, internet comedy sites.
Cheers for now
Mike

Sounds good, Mike.
Always good for a writer to have tangible showreel material. :)

What do you know, just got the email saying my sketches were selected for the "standby" list that Bomsh mentioned!

This reverses my usual trend of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory! Thanks, Mike!

Alas once more Sootyj snatches defeat from the jaws of slightly lesser defeat.

Well done all you winners and goodluck with this exciting project.

Sorry to hear that Sootyj--but is it definite? It's not over till the fat lady sings.

I know it's no consolation, but my rejections are stupidly far ahead of the few acceptances I've had. I'd like to say that I take rejection with grace, but I don't. I wail like a baby.

I'm afraid the fat lady has a tent in my backgarden and sings to me at 6am each morning.

Still at least I don't need an alarm clock.
