Just wondering who on the BCG runs their own businesses or maybe aspires to get themselves out of "paid" work.

I am an occaisonal paid comedy writer.
But I'm way to disorganised and not very funny.
I do have business cards though. Hundreds of the blighters.
You've probably done better than most at getting paid writing work Sooty.
1. Are Business cards professional or are they from Vistaprint?
2. Do you have a website
3. Do you trawl elance for writing opportunities? Off the top of my head you could help "funny up" speeches. Businesses often want "funny" copy for various projects
Yes they are vistaprint.
But I worked jolly hard on them and they look good.
No website, but I do have a blog, I never write on.
And what about Number 3?

1. Mine are double sided and look the bomb!

3. No I don't really do that kind of work.

Sooty - you write good gags. You've been paid by a major UK company to do just that. You could do really well with adding gags to speeches......as long as you don't include ones about fisting David Cameron

You would not believe some of the business plans I've put together in the past Chip....you would not believe it!

I too have put together some bonkers business plans, bf! But aside from ocassional writing commissions I prefer working for other people. It's far less stressful.
This one was for a private members swingers club in a house that was going cheap.
