Haven't seen anything like Blackadder, Monty Python, The Two Ronnies, Porridge, Only Fools and Horses, Steptoe and son and many other good old British comedy shows and sketches being made like this for years. I think there should be a return to the 70s and 80s to do it how they did it. All that comedy had you falling off your chairs and had you spraying everything with tea or coffee after you had just taken a good mouthful. Brilliant stuff, lets get back to it.
Good old comedy

Good in principle, No Billy, but producers don't want old fashioned comedy.
Have you thought of just getting wonky furniture?
yeah man like it, bet you can find all that old gear in storage somewhere along with Russ Abbot and Blunder Woman and a shit load of other old stuff never to be seen again. It is a shame though.

You'll find this sort of humour on children's TV nowadays (only better that Russ Abbott, IMHO), stuff like "Horrible Histories" and "I'm Sorry I've Got No Head".
I agree, sort-of, with No Billy. Reading between his lines I found
blankness, but think I got his drift. What I think he would like to
say, pardon my assumativeness, is that the current/present day level
of sitcoms doesn't achieve the fondness garnered by the few classics
that he mentioned. Who'll be talking about the likes of Not Going Out
or The Office, 30 years from now? I am also well known for my ability
to speak out the back of my head.
The thread title reminded me of a Goon Show joke:
Chinstrap: Here's to the old country!
Bloodnok: What old country?
Chinstrap: Any old country. Cheers!

I like your style Mr Birch, you get what I am saying 100% buddy.
