OK, what do you think of his act so far?
Jonnie Marbles
Thumbs down from me.
Well the pie throwing was stupid and counterproductive.
And all too reminesent of the all publicity no thought protests of recent years.
That said I've met him at a writers meetings and in person he's a nice guy and pretty funny.
I was listening to him on Radio 5 Live, it was very protracted on how he did it: stuck the shaving foam in an overnight bag; would he be questioned over having paper plates? Rather anal in detail, really.
I say good on him.
A pie in the face was precisely the kind of thing the old bastard needed. Public opinion in pie form. It's only a pity the cameras were pointing the wrong way when it happened.
Murdoch was lucky. In America he'd have got shot.
All it actually did was make most of the public feel sorry for Murdoch. Pretty much the opposite of what this bloke presumably actually wanted. Nice one, Marbles.
Apparently, he used to post on here occasionally.

Most of the public? We move in different circles, zooo. I don't know anyone who feels sorry for Murdoch.

Really? I hadn't read/heard that view expressed.
Everyone I've heard discuss it just laughed their asses off and carried on thinking Murdoch is a c**t.
I suppose the same people who feel sorry for Murdoch on grounds of his age are the same people who'll feel sorry for Mladic when he goes to trial.
Not really an opinion I value.
Didn't raise sympathy
It moved the focus to Murdochs smoking hot wife and made a very serious meeting into a jolly old circus
If you bear in mind it was always going to be a struggle to get in taken seriously in the face of the tabloids
This is damaging beyond mere words
Same as those f**kwits smashing up the Ritz

There's no point in making people who agree with you, agree with you more.
It's the undediceded middle who are the issue.
Not really, sooty. At most it was a minor distraction for a few hours. Apart from this thread nobody is talking about it any more but News Corp's problems are still around.
I guess I know the kind of people who don't find an 80 year old man being attacked very amusing.
His wife whacking the twat in the face, now THAT was amusing.
It was hardly an attack was it? They couldn't even charge him with any sort of assault. I'm not saying it was a great idea but come on, it's hardly gbh.
If you're going to throw a pie you should make sure you land it properly.
He's a dick on every level then. Can't even get an attack right.
Zooo you're not sympathising because he's old?
That's as patronising as it's foolish.
I don't care if he feels patronised, I don't like him!
I think someone running at an old man, scaring him, and shoving something in his face is wrong. I do apologise for being such an awful person! I must agree, out of Marbles and all the people who've posted on this thread so far, I'm definitely the fool...
Anyway, I'm sure anyone would rather feel patronised by me than feel humiliated and attacked by some attention seeking twat.
