Torchwood... Page 48

I was so unimpressed this week. The plot was a bit slow, and trying to make poison antidote on a plane? Really? Coupled with all the jokes about the steward being gay? Sigh.

And why did she use the world's slowest acting poison ever?

It's a load of silly nonsense. But it's fun and shiny and moves quickly.

And how did CIA bloke go mega Bruce Lee when last week he could barely walk?

And why did she use the world's slowest acting poison ever?

Firstly, because I imagine they didn't think a cure would be able to be created, and secondly, because it's TV and if they'd used a quick one, the lead would be dead!

It's probably the kind of thing they'd do on 24.

Exactly.

Laughing out loud It doesn't move quickly at all. There were a couple of bursts of so-so excitement but that was it. I predict a ratings slide and a shift to a new timeslot.

It felt like it moved quite quick to me, actually; it didn't drag anyway.

Exactly.

Eh?

Well, Torchwood has always been full of silly.

I can only picture in a bath tub filled with pickled onions wearing a pork pie hat and snearing at your black and white telly.

Dichen Lachman was very sexy as ever. Although her backward head moment was a bit Death Becomes Her.

Watched the first episode tonight after paying 2.50 on apple TV. It was wank :)

They should all win Over Acting awards for that performance. The CIA guy is a total camera-hog, as for Barrowman, I was sure he was going to write-off that jeep because he was checking himself out in the rear-view mirror constantly.

They had to do something Angie because there was f**k all plot or dialogue worth mouthing!

Exactly! It was like Wesley Snipes on Ovaltine.

I dare say it's free on iPlayer.

I was bewildered what the yanks would think when they cut to the Waiting for Gavin and Stacey scenes.. but was blown away by the brilliance of the speared man's 'lets just round up these so called torchwood and take them back to America' line.

I have a bigger TV than a computer screen. And to be fair it's about the cost of a half pint up here. What it had to do with Doctor Who I have no idea.

Well, nothing, it's not supposed to really; apart from the fact that the lead character was in Who.

What do you mean it is not supposed to. The name is an anagram. It was made because of Who?
