I'm sorry for adding my question to this old thread.
Could you tell me how many people (the audience) are in the studio for taping? (in the UK)
How do they film an audience sitcom? Page 6
It varied greatly depending on the studio, and specifics of the recording date.
Most TV audiences tend to be 300+ at full capacity.

You do! We got 2 free mince pies when we went to see my family, and when we saw ''Frank Skinners Opinionated'', we got 2 free drinks, and rolls
Wow, well the exception to the rule! I've been to dozens of recordings of various types of show for TV and radio, and only on a couple of occasions now have I seen free food or drink available.

The number of the sitcom audience is larger than I expected.
Thank you, Aaron!
As someone who's been to a lot of recordings over the past fifteen years, what's struck me is that there seems to be fewer people seeing sitcoms recorded these days - maybe they're using smaller studios for them now than in the mid-nineties! (I'm not saying there's a definitive guide or anything - it just seems a bit more intimate for sitcoms now.)

The British economy in the 90s was so good.
Thank you, Amanda!
