Why take a good series and move the plot to America? WHY?

Because it's now an American co-production. With, it seems, the American channel being the driving force.

I was a bit shocked by Captain Jack's lack of humanity when he had Exploded Man's head detached just to see if he remained alive. Although it was probably the standout scene of the episode.

Me too, but he had just tried to kill Jack and the lady.

It does drag a bit. Where's the pace? The energy? The zip? I get the impression they're stringing out a story for 10 episodes that could be done in 5. Still, nice to see the Six Feet Under girl has found work again.

I haven't found it slow. The bit where they made some medicine for Jack was fun.

It's rather fun in an odd ball eccentric sort of way

And diluted Jack is quite bearable

She's kind of amazing looking.
The bitch. ;)
And looks like Alicia Witt.

Meh. It was okay in a runny-shouty way.

Loved the bit where the horrible poisoner lady got her comeuppance.

It was a rather fun way to spend an hour and was quite unpredictable/

Which is more than you can say about any other show currently on TV

Enjoyed that much more than last weeks; though having Newman as an apparent bad guy was weird to get past!

Who was she?

I was so unimpressed this week. The plot was a bit slow, and trying to make poison antidote on a plane? Really? Coupled with all the jokes about the steward being gay? Sigh.

Perhaps the problem with Jack as a hero is that he's a bit thick.

Sillier things happen in sci-fi/adventure serials and films. It's probably the kind of thing they'd do on 24.
