Rocket Science. Pretty good comedy-drama about a stammering high school student that joins the debate team. Like Rushmore crossed with Rocky.

New Harry Potter. The Imax 3D is amazing. Unfortunately the film assumed everyone who watched the movie knows the books inside out, so there was a lot which was underexplained and felt like it just skipped through and didn't link in. But all in all, I really enjoyed it.

Rio. Terribly disappointing. Watch Happy feet instead.

Poor Daltrey suffered some major technical problems - booming fedback that really hurt my ears so I went to watch Adam Ant and he put on a really good show.

How was Roger's voice? He's struggled a lot over the last several years but some claim that recent surgery has helped.

Ferris Bueller.

Underused the best character in there, Principle Rooney stole the show for me.

Fun fact: the actor who plays him is a convicted sex offender!

Really? That explains the bus scene at the end where he had that glazed look sitting next to that girl .

Wasn't bad but I really couldn't put up with the painful noise. Shame really because I wanted to see the Tommy images in sequence.

Traitor. So-so terrorist thriller with an unintentionally funny ending involving 50 suicide bombers. Bizarrely, based on an idea by Steve Martin.

Decent thriller, set in Berlin, starring Liam Neeson and one-trick pony January Jones.

Submarine. Not as comedy as I was expecting, but rather nice and lovely.

Buried - Ok but the excellent ending pulled it from being just alright to being very good.

I loved Buried, didn't think I would but it was so intense.

Saw Horrible Bosses today, it was good, very funny in parts. Really enjoyed all the main characters, Jason Bateman is great, but Spacey puts in a sublime performance and Jennifer Aniston is hot, she played the character really well. Not one for the kids but a good laugh.

Oh yes, I saw that recently, very good.

Legion. Bonkers religous-appocalypse fun.

Black Swan. Loved it, reminded me of something Polanski would have made in the late sixties and seventies.

As I'm currently working for a bunch who would put the lot in the film to shame they are so unspeakable, I'm not sure about going to see this. Or depending how much fun the last meeting is on friday I might just suggest we hit the Odeon Leicester Square to see it and compare notes after in the closest hostelry as to who we thought was closest to the ones in the film.
