How do you approach the task of finding a TV show to watch, online? In particular, how would you try to watch something which is apparently not available in your country, or is otherwise difficult to find?
How do you watch TV?
I wouldn't. Freeview's good enough for me. And I've enough piles of unwatched DVDs without seeking out yet more shows online.
Apart from the Apprentice and Sorry I've Got No Head, and Psychoville that was on a few weeks ago...and the News in small doses, I don't follow anything else, I like to have the radio on more. I wouldn't mind being able to get RTE though to remind me of home, I miss the Late Late Show.

Was there something in particular you were looking for? Channel 4 online has some random stuff from years ago, otherwise YouTube I suppose. But looking around online shops for bargain DVDs means you don't have to depend on others to upload and the quality of the picture/next in series, etc is guaranteed.

Very much depends on the exact programme. There are numerous places one can look (no names please) and methods of 'acquisition'. An astonishing array of programming is available, if you have the know-how.

I think about what genre I'm into (sci fi - or supernatural at a push), then go onto American TV network sites like HBO and Showtime. I run their shows in Wiki to see if any take my fancy.
If I'm scraping the barrel, I'll consider shows that at first I dismissed - sometimes I'll watch an entire season before deciding whether to keep watching it.

I'd be wary of going that route; you might end up with a nastygram from the studio/network. There are much safer ways out there.
