British Comedy Guide

What's next ?

I'm French Canadian and I've learned English watching sitcoms.
I love Brit ones.
What should I watch next?
I've seen : spaced, mighty boosh, black books, green wing, Friday night dinner, mitchell and webb, peep show, it crowd, inbetweeners, fawlty towers, chef, father ted, men behaving badly, black adder, young ones, flying circus, flight of the conchords (I know they aren't Brits) I'm also a big fan of curb your enthousiasm and Seinfeld.

What should I watch next ?
And for you Brits a suggestion for a good canadian sitcom : Corner Gas.

Please send me your suggestions jeromefortin@hotmail.com

Nighty Night (first series), anything by Chris Morris/Armando Iannuci (mostly not sitcoms, but then neither was Monty Python), Garth Merenghi, Look Around You and Big Train (again, not sitcoms but well worth a watch).

Operation Good Guys

Garth Merenghi, Arrested Development, Man to Man with Dean Lerner, Californication...

British ?

2 are British, 2 are American. What can I say, I'm a citizen of the world.

Alan Partridge, in all his forms.

Look Around You, Jam, Brass Eye...

The Thick Of It..... expand your swearing!

Ideal.... expand you knowledge of scummy UK

thanks to all repliers

Porridge definitely, as you're lacking a golden age of Britcom staples in that list, it's far too modern. Porridge, Rising Damp and OFAH should restore the balance.

Are you this Jerome Fortin, Jay...?

To David: I forgot but I've seen Big Train and I loved it. I also remembered that I've seen Red Dwarf and it is ok but not as good as Boosh, Spaced, Peep Show and Black Books (which are my favourite).

To corey: no but I've received some emails of people who thought I was.

This artist (regardless the name, which I love) is quite good.
