Me too :(

Holidays are for the weak, and money flush.

I'm going on Holiday in 6 weeks

I am weak, but cash light :(

Go with Bigfella! he's just essentially offered.

Yeah the wife won't mind.

You do realise he's in the white slaving industry?

Off home, in my new car. :) :P

Stott, even if you don't want to share, it's worth recording gigs anyway. An excellent way to recap on which material has worked, and which hasn't.

Oh yes, I had to regularly book gigs up until a couple of months ago. I still respond to advs, but I can't remember the last time I've emailed out through my message book. It's the benefit of knowing a lot of people who run small gigs, and doing a lot of favours (a do a lot of free poster design for people).

I COULD have gone to Ed, but wouldn't have taken my own show. I can go up and do open spots only on guest bills, but they're only really the same as doing spots anywhere.

The best review I've ever had. Almost as good as a bloke in Hartlepool who said "You're a right gobby cow." Meant as a compliment.

I might well.

I've heard it's a good idea to get multiple acts to get together to put something together, taking it in in turns to MC etc as you only get one chance to win best newcomer and you can make some good contacts as big name acts will do gigs for free to get more exposure. Something like that anyway.

You can quote me on that if you want!

Yeah, the wife won't mind because she's a slave now and hates him.

That's pretty much the plan for next year, Vader!

What, doing a show with a few others, doing your own show, or getting enslaved by Bigfella?

Doing either a showcase show or a split bill. I don't want to be doing over 20 minutes, as theres no way I'll have an Edinburgh quality 20 in under 2 years. I'd rather wait longer and go when I'm absolutely ready, than go to early with stretched material.

Don't sell yourself short.

It's just writing then rehearsing, with all the gigs you've done you'd walk it.

(albeit maybe work on call backs and linking narrative)

Hat's the way to do it. How soon do you reckon it'll be before you can do 60+ mins then? And if you become successful, I can be your co-writer and earn half your money, right? That offer goes for everyone! :D
