We make skittle vodka every time we have a party. But we put the skittles all in together and let them melt in the vodka over night.

Doesn't that make brown vodka?

Yes, beers made with pumpkin are fairly common this time of year. Not sure I'd want to make a batch of it, however. Fruit additions can cause some funky infections in the fermenter.
