UK Muslim Comedy Tour Page 3

You see? That's the USA mindset for you. I was referring to "The West", not the US/UK/Euro armies. So.. Israeli massacres of Palestinians in refugee camps? Drone attacks on civilians? Etc etc etc etc etc? All this pass you by? All condoned by "us"? Wake up mate..

DaButt are you going to admit that's ridiculous, or do I have to actually dig up the links.

No the world's largest military didn't feel the need to use IEDs, martyrdom bombers or execution videos. Whilst fighting a bunch of ragged insurgents, mostly defending their own homes.

No random shootings at check points, funding death squads and the ever popular drone strike on a wedding did the job just fine.

The actual US soldiers in prison were mere examples that you still can't keep criminals or the criminally insane out of your military.

1) We're not the world's largest military.

2) You forgot about drilling holes in faces and limbs, cutting the heads off of journalists, using young children as suicide bombers and a host of other atrocities.

3) Those "ragged insurgents" are well-armed and abetted by Iran, Pakistan, Syria and Saudi Arabia and the usual assortment of murderers and are not defending their homes, rather they are being used as pawns by the aforementioned nations in their fight to control the region and spread their twisted vision of Islam across the world.

No random shootings at check points

Such "random" shootings are neither random nor illegal under the rules of warfare. They are made possible, and sadly necessary, by the enemy's fondness for driving explosive-packed vehicles up to coalition forces. People don't die at checkpoints when the troops manning them aren't worried about being killed by suicide bombers.

the ever popular drone strike on a wedding did the job just fine.

It all boils down to intent. Did the U.S. spend millions of dollars with the explicit intention of killing innocent civilians at a wedding or did it make a mistake due to incorrect or deceptive intelligence provided to it? And were they actually all civilians or were there bad guys mixed in?

Our troops cry when they accidentally kill innocents and even put themselves at greater risk due to stricter rules of engagement. Their fighters attempt to cause maximum civilian casualties and cheer when they accomplish their mission. Night and day difference.

The actual US soldiers in prison were mere examples that you still can't keep criminals or the criminally insane out of your military.

No, they're examples of a justice system that works and remind us that it's nearly impossible to predict what someone might do in the future. As far as I know you're a law-abiding citizen but tomorrow morning you might rape the bus driver and I wouldn't consider it an indictment of whatever agency you work for, I'd just throw you in jail.

The US as avenging angelic white knights? Guantanamo Bay? Abu Gharaib?

This?

Merely the wealthiest.

Fortunately a fairly large number of these evil bastards are rendered harmless, by the US pumping them full of money and hiring them back as militias.

Iraq and Afghanistan are neighbours of Iran. It sort of makes sense they're worried about the post invasion chaos in these countries spilling into their country.

Unpleasant as Iran is, it's got motivation.

The US as avenging angelic white knights?

For the most part, yeah. Look at how much American money, blood and time has been spent deposing murderous regimes, killing terrorists who want to destroy the West and ensuring that women and children are able to vote and go to school. God only knows if it'll stick once we're gone (they're likely to ask us to stay) but think about the alternatives we could have pursued after 3,000 Americans were murdered in cold blood on that September day. (Think mushroom clouds.)

Not chaos; pro-Western governments.

DaButt in the last Afghani election men voted on behalf of upto 2 dozen female relatives.

A school here and there is lovely. But not much more.

I only wanted to let people know about our comedy tour to help raise funds for charity.
Hopefully events like this will show that everyone can come togather no matter what their religion or ethnicity and enjoy a fun comedy show and hopefully raise some funds for charity.

Medical care, clean water, protection from gangsters. OK, I guess we should have just nuked them instead.

seems unfair to squabble on someone else's thread

The Salaam project mainly exists to help victims of over swift post 9/11 US justice. Including victims of utterly blatant sting operations by the FBI.

Makes them pretty effective combatters of terrorism

Don't worry, this tends to happen on half the threads. :)

are you a fellow Red Sea pedestrian?

Which ones are the rabid hatemongers, Jack? Only I've just done a quick search of the names and couldn't find them. They seem safe enough.
