Not really. It's called padding.
But padding at the front is counterproductive.

Nope they asked because when they are repeated or even aired the first time all the credits details are there so they don't need a continuity announcement as there only a local station.
What station is this, that accepts short comedy stuff?

I think it's probably Soundart FM. A sketch of mine was butchered on there once.
