Quote: Gavin @ June 28 2011, 6:54 PM BSTI may try a dating site. But. I'm quite happy on my own and adding someone else to the mix will be a nuisance because they'll want to do shit and I won't want to because I got stuff to do, and no doubt moan that I don't have any cats etc.
I tried one once. Chatted to someone a few times, then her old boyfriend turned up and that was that. Didn't go back again, turns out you find love in the unlikeliest of places.

I find it easier just to tune it out, whilst their kids run round my house yanking at cables. Tis a nightmare. My house is quite...uh techhy friendly which puts humans off. I just hurled some cables over the wood beams because I can't run My XLR's over the ground so they are on the roof now looks awesome a techno web!
Like some sort of Gav-cave?

I have you to thank for his lovely 14 hour shift days then?
Quote: Leevil @ June 28 2011, 4:14 PM BSTCould he be a nicer fella? C'mon Robyn, give us some dirt! Does he ping your bras strap? Does he leave his socks everywhere? Does he put 3 sugars in your tea instead of the two you asked for?
Elliot is lovely.
He doesn't ping my bra straps, but he undoes my bra while hugging me (while I am still dressed) to piss me off sometimes.

Yeh exactly! I don't live in the middle of no where to get visitors

Ah, classic boyhaviour.

But everyone does that! I don't mean to you, although if I ever get that chance to give you a hug...
I hugged Roscoff once!
From asking around my mates and now you lot it seems everyone's at it! (Meeting folk online, that is)
How about when people ask you how you met? Is it embarrassing to say 'online'? Would you come across as some nerd?
And are Aaron and zooo still together?
Ha, yes we are.
I do feel a bit silly when I say we met online. I always feel like I have to add 'not on a dating site'. Which is insulting to perfectly normal people who did meet on dating sites.

It's only old fashioned folk that still imagine it's weird, so why should we care what they think? They all have zimmer frames and smell of wee anyway.

The weekend before last I attended the wedding of a couple who met through a dating site.
Online dating is such a feature of the modern dating scene that dismissing it as nerdy has itself become a bit, well, nerdy. Besides if you have met someone you want to be with why on earth of would you care what anyone else thinks?
People who don't use the internet much don't understand it. (They're idiots.)
Good points, yep.
I'm gonna sign up properly tomorrow. I'll try the free Fishy one first, and then move on to the paid 'uns if nowt occurs.
