Having a crappy airport beer before boarding the flight to Vegas with an unfortunate layover at LAX. I hate that airport.

Chairperson or Chairwoman? Spokesperson or Spokeswoman?
I'd rather be referred to as a 'woman' than a 'person'. The latter is cold.
I can't speak on their behalf. I'll leave it to the chair and spokespeople to decide what they'd rather be called!
I'm pooping myself about tonight.

You're only standing alone on stage trying to make a bunch of strangers, who are judging your every word and movement, laugh. What's the big deal?

A paying audience, expecting a higher quality of performance then I have ever had to do. It's also a try-out spot of sorts, so I stand to gain higher paid gigs of both this and potentially other promoters. Plus if I die on my arse, I do so in front of Jason Cook, and he's a genius.
And I'm the only new act on the bill, so there is no one for me to be better than.

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Hopefully the crowd won't turn really nasty and kill you.
Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine.
My advice is to do really well, rather than bombing. I don't think I've ever heard Jason Cook.
He's great- he just got a BBC Radio show I believe.

That's not what they're looking for.
They're looking for professionalism and competence.
Which you have in abundance.
And you're funny. Look it at you collecting on all your practise gigs.
That or you could tickle your cat with your toes.

He hasn't a hope.
