Are women now called men or something?

Yep, that's what it is.

I'm so tired, but too tired to go brush my teeth and turn the lights off etc. fml.

Comedienne is a superfluous term as gender has absolutely no baring on the job. It's the same job, therefore it's the same name. You don't need to genderise it. Pretty much only idiots and decides still say comedienne.

What are "decides"?

Must have been an autocorrect!

Haha epic fail. I think it was supposed to be sexists. Yes, cheeky autocorrect tried to change that one too.

By the way Jo Law was awesome last night.

How come the Oscars have actress categories?

I think it's just a description for clarity rather than sexist.

If I said I went to see a comedian last night - you would naturally presume a male comedian. If I said a comedienne or female comedian then it would be clear.
I know a bloke when asked what he does for a living always says 'a male nurse' like anyone would think he was a girl if he just said nurse.

(ok Goody, engage shit deflectors)

I was going to mention the male nurse thing, but couldn't be bothered. Nat's already lumped me in with sexists and idiots, so what's the point?

True. But why would you need them to know that?
And if you did, then when you said she was good, or she was shit, they'd know.

If you went to the doctor, would you need everyone to know what gender he/she was, or does it not matter?

Why is it demeaning to your sex, zooo?

Ha, did I say it was?

I think it's frivolous and silly. But if that's how you want to sound you may continue merrily on your way. :)

I thought you were backing up Nat's claims that it's used by sexists.

I think it sounds ridiculous and is usually unneccesary.

I keep asking would anyone put silly endings on teacher, dentist, shop assistant, and no one seems to want to. So why put them randomly on some job descriptions and not others?
It's weird.
