I wasn't going to like GIVE IT AWAY before I actually wore the outfit for my birthday, but today I ended up wearing it all because I was too excited by the bow ties.

Was promised repeatedly my new bed would be delivered by midday - I had plans for the afternoon running on into the evening. In the event the bed was not delivered until late afternoon so my plans for the rest of the day had to be cancelled. When I unwrapped the divan I discovered that the sockets for the feet had been installed by a chimp using a club hammer. No prospect of being able to fit the feet into these mangled lumps of metal so the divan is going to have to go back and be replaced. Bit of a waste of a day's leave really.
The mattress is being delivered separately by DHL, who are always shocking, so I dread to think what dramas await me there.
My old bed has already been taken away, so I am settling down for the night on the sofa bed. I may be sleeping there for some weeks to come...
