I'm a strong believer in doing everything with a proper job in the back ground.
Not least of all because it'll give you the experiences you need to write about.
It also gives you more time and being succesful isn't fast.
There's loads of flexible ways of working; nights, weekends, stuff from home, double shifts etc/
Also not getting hung up on where the money is coming from is remarkably liberating.

I see. I mean I've never seen your act alas, since you don't seem to have recorded it for us, but I imagine you to be a bit like a brunette Sarah Millican, in which case pushing her down some stairs could help your career considerably.

From what I've seen (very little) I still think Nat is developing her style. It's easy to compare her to Millican, but the style is different. I'm not sure if that's down to experience or not? Whereas Sarah can confidently ramble, Nat's appears much more structured but still has a comfortable naturalism to it (that make sense?). It's not a bad or good thing, it's just part of the development it seems.

So you think the main differentiation between their acts is unintentional and will be corrected over time? Sounds like sabotage is in order!

Ah but it's a month old now, and has progressed dramatically (a big chunk of it was brand new material). I'll let you see the next one, because if I'm honest I'm so new that the quality changes dramatically with almost every gig, so previous recordings are not indicative of current performance levels.
I'll try to clear off the camcordery thing so I have room for more recordings. I'm performing at a pro gig on Sat so imagine that'd be a good one to film.

I plan to write a Children's book next. Have done a few chapters and a pitch page or two.
