Funny books

Hi,

I read books on my dinner break at work and as im nearly at the end of my current Jeeves & Wooster will soon be needing something new to read.

Suggestions please for FUNNY books.

Can be fiction, non-fiction, biographies anything - as long as its funny

thanks :|

The Buddha of Suburbia or The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao are my favourites for a kind of balance between funny and clever, if that helps!

and were off to a flyer

cheers buddy! :)

Any book by David Sedaris.

How many funny book threads are we having?

I'm sounding like a real grumpy old git aren't I!

The Buddha of Suburbia

Is that funny?????

I remember watching that on telly and I don't remember laughing much!

If that counts.

This book by Emma Kennedy, basically about all the funny, disgusting and disturbing things that happened to her and her eccentric parents in her childhood, made me cry with laughter. (Is much better than I made it sound.)

They edited it quite heavily for the TV, if I remember rightly, and I thought it was really witty. But I also read a lot of boring, dry classics so.

You strike me as the kind of chap who'd like Tom Sharpe,

The Throwback, Wilt, The Great Pursuit

A scathing anti establishment , anti PC, misanthropic wit with loads of rudery.

Just don't read the later works.

Just ordered Wilt

cheers!
Cool

Actually, I just remembered that the funny books I read are generally comics, having trawled through my 160 book profile on GoodReads...
