I'd like to see if I can get access to footage of the news report of our traffic 'incident' on Friday. Even a couple of screen grabs will do.
I don't know if it was on BBC or ITV - maybe it was both. I found this link for BBC but can't watch it because we're not in Oxfordshire - can anyone help?

If you couldn't find it any other way, could you maybe email the channel and ask for a copy of the news show that day? Seeing as you were in it I can't see them saying no.
They probably get people doing that fairly often, I'd have thought. Especially when peoples' kids are on the local news etc.
You can usually ask for a video (or maybe even DVD in these heady times) if you contact them. You might have to pay or they might send it free of charge.

How weird we can't watch different regional news. It's not like there's a rights issue like watching an American series through Hulu or whatever.

There's no reliable way of telling what region a viewer is in - and as we can get all channels via Sky (and I assume Virgin etc) anyway, it'd be pointless to try to employ such technology. The simple answer is that not every region is put on iPlayer.
Oh right.
