"The Unbearable Smugness of Sandi Toksvig"
People who don't like Sandi Toksvig are weird.
Quite agree, especially ones who use columns in papers/paper websites to hurl their bile from their digestive system

Also: No neck.
That Burchill creature is famed for being a bitter old twat, I believe.

She surely is. Personally I don't mind Toksvig, but then I don't really listen to the radio.
She sounded a bit smug herself in a different article where I believe she wrote she had written a hit novel in her twenties, but then everything went downhill. So yes a bitter old hag describes her perfectly.
Julie Bitch-kill has written lead columns; for the Sun, Guardian, Daily Mail and more.
Being a disagreeable misanthrope has made her a very large amount of money. Good luck to her.
I suspect she has a big wall chart with coloured stickers to remind her what she is supposed to be hating this week.
I can't stand Sandi Toksvig but I really hate Julie Birchill. She's like Melanie Phillips in a dress.
What was it Tony Parsons said when she dissed him in print? "Hell hath no fury like a first wife run to fat."
I think Toksvig can be quite funny. Has she ever written any comedy?
I quite like Ms Toksvig, she's funny. But then again I do like arrogant people, but only when they are oblivious as to just how arrogant they are.
Burchill on the other hand tries too hard to be obnoxious, so I find her a bit desperate. Having said that her suggestion of Sandi and Stepehn Fry getting it on did make me chuckle.

sootyj got there first...of course.
I like her.
Looks good in a suit.
Nice hair.
What's not to like?
Here here. Some of her stuff on 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' can be really funny. Although I agree her dress sense could be worked on a tad
I liked her as Ethel on number 73 back in her Saturday morning TV days
