Much as I love Russell Crowe, I was disappointed with his Robin Hood, Gladiator in the woods was the best description I heard, the difference being Gladiator was brilliant.
Films that are not bad enough to be good. Page 7

Good point!

I concur with the belle!
Although I think they are making a John Carter Mars film. Which might be fun.
Yes. Must get back to my Barbarian style fantasy novel I started once.

Excellent! I read a few of them when I was a kid. I've just started rereading them again.
Be interesting to see who they cast as Dejah Thoris, given that she is supposed to be the most beautiful woman on the planet.
Edit: Ah, Lynn Collins apparently. fair enough.

Are you insane?
That film is pure joy from start to finish.

Best not to disagree with Bebopalula. They throws a hissy fit. They're also wrong about Weekend at Bernies, which is a classic.
Yes Weekend at Bernies is a belter!
I saw the Batman movie and it was a bit meh.
I loved the TV series, but the film felt they stretched the material a bit and it started to fall apart a little...

Quite I'm still bruised.
Weekend at Bernie's 2, like Godfather 2 and The Empire Strikes Back, one of the few sequels which is even better than the original.
I'm not sure Empire strikes back is better, it was brilliant though. Tough one that.
Yeas Mark it was better.
The Godfather is a distinctly meh film.
Godfather 2 is great but I think Part 1 hangs together better. And, aside from the brilliance of Michael killing Guido, the end of Godfather 2 is a bit of a untidy mess.
