Well you would, you're a lawyer! Greedily man, I read greedily! I gobbled them books up! Fat with them I was.

Greedily I'll give you but avarice is specifically referred to wealth.

Pah. Metaphors are by their nature not specific. But even if they were, there is wealth in wisdom my learned friend. The defence rests!!

I read a lot of Enid B when I was about five six seven, the Famous Five etc and is the first memory of an author I returned to. Probably responsible for getting me reading avariciously, certainly writing -which I concede in this regard is an argument for you against EB!

I do not know what you mean by this so cannot respond! :D

As a grown up I do not return to Blyton by the way but I do reread Arthur Ransome and am planning to write a children's book.

Judge and Jury as well as wig wearer?? I think not. The defence appeals to the judge and it is her verdict that counts!

Ugh, don't compare Harry Potter to the Twilight bollocks. Twilight seems to have been written entirely cynically.

Well just in the non recurring phenomena sense.. which did recur with Twilight a bit. Like I say not read them. And shan't!

That's all right then!

Phew :)

Just that she indcotrinated your young mind and when you write your children's book you will indoctrinate the next generation of young minds.

Shouldn't think so - just a bit of a yarn 'twill be. That's if it gets written and published that is. :)
