I was reminded during the tribute concert clip what a great voice Axel Rose had.

He looks like a fat Rufus Hound now.

Watching the tribute show clips reminded me of one thing. How none of the stand-ins weren't a patch on Freddie. A unique voice.

:D :( Poor Axel.

I'm just saying I can think of 10 tracks of Queens off the top of my head that I love I'd struggle with Stones. It's just me I think.

Depends how far down one drills . .

Strange how, in the music world, we've had a Queen but never a Prince or King.

I nearly fell for that !

:D :D

So what does Roger Deacon do now?

John Deacon!

He goes on holiday and counts his royalties from Another One Bites The Dust.

Well Brian said that John had "chosen to go to a very different place", is he talking about Deptford?

Yes - but you're not a real music fan are you.

You're a twat.

I was very interested to watch this as I have seen so little of Freddie Mercury in interviews (and the acerbic Roger Taylor come to think of it). His camp humour and silliness made him a very British kind of front man and that shone through in the few interviews that he did.

Always thought they were the singles band for people who found Led Zeppelin a bit demanding, but no taking away their craftsmanship and incredibly successful working relationship as a band.

Also much better then D-Ream, even if Brian May is not the most charismatic TV astronomy expert.

His brother Joey had a hugely succesful book and appeared on Blue Peter, but sadly he lost a shoe and then died.

From what I have read in the past, (though I'm not sure if it is true) Axl Rose could the Princess.

Queen is my favourite band, loved them since I was about ten, marveling at Freddie Mercury's voice, then later on started paying attention to Brian May's guitar work.

They were our answer to Abba. Great singles but not so great albums.

Their second, third and fourth albums were almost consistently good.

Paul Rodgers was a massive star before Freddie.

Indeed. Queen II is an amazing piece of work.
