Nah. Go on YouTube and watch some of the compilation clips of Diego when he was at Napoli, and you'll change your mind. We Brits missed out on the majority of his highlights at club level, because Italian games weren't shown here back then. You can forget Pele as well. Diego was THE ONE.
I was making the Maradonna comparison too. I think it's still a bit early to say he's better but at 23 he's still 5 years from his peak.
I think what surprised me most about this game was the space Barcelona seemed to have. They just seemed to have the ability to find it and yet could thread the ball through the eye of a needle on the edge of the boss.
I'm no United fan but no-one could live with Barcelona in this form.
And they keep offering 50m to Arsenal for Fabregas! They don't need him, I mean where is he going to fit into that crowded midfield? They do play in a very odd way, they look like a giant crab scuttling along constantly passing the ball to one of its legs/claws. It's extremely effective and it's hard to see how you do get the ball off them! Cram the midfield with grafters and chasers and the crab may still hold the ball but it won't be able to move other than sideways or backwards.
United need a big, strong bruiser in midfield.
Someone like Roy Keane, Paul Ince or Miranda Hart.
She would be useful but they couldn't afford her, being comedy Royalty now. Victoria Wood they could pick up for a few quid, and I have a feeling she'd take it on.

The final last night should be celebrated as a great example of the quality of Barca and not used to kick United or English football. No other team in Europe would have beaten or got close to Barca last night.
United would beat ANY other team in Europe in a big final.
That said, Fergie should have won more than 2 European Cups in 25 years.

But, we keep hearing how Fergie is the best manager ever. Paisley won 3 for Liverpool in a few years. Guardiola has won 2 in 3 (and will probably win again next year). Mourinho has won it with 2 different clubs. Clough won it with a small club in successive years.
I don't buy it that Fergie is the greatest.
BTW- Man Utd had much the stronger substitute line-up last night.
