What are you gaming? Page 85

Oooh not come across a grizzly yet. My horse has just been killed by coyotes though. :/

I may have done that. The guy doesn't find anything at the end, is that right?

Where do I find beavers?

The beavers are in Tall Trees - where the Grizzly's are. If you're in the Mexico segment that's not been unlocked yet.

The same with the Treasure Hunter achievement - it's one of four - Sharpshooter's one, can't remember the other two off the top of my head. You can find them in your journal. You need to have unlocked all the territories before you can complete them so you can't have done it yet. It's a lot easier to get them as you go along though - especially the flower gathering ones which are way easier to pick up when you see them.

There are beavers elsewhere - try your shack in the desert - near the hanging rock - might be some. They need water.

Does the big strong cowboy keeps a journal? Aw.

Dear journal, Big Jake has been giving me the eye...

I always think it's really fake in games when you have a map. Men don't read maps, the info on our position is beamed from the man satellite directly into our brains. Its what they based GPS on. True FAct.

Having to navigate with road signs and posts would in increase the challenge but ultimately waste space in the players brain. I already think it's bad enough I know my way around San Andreas without the map.

I know the Layout to GTA4 with no map...Still. Sad Sad f**k.

It's not as bad knowing your way around a level of Super Mario Bros. It's either left or right and I suppose down or up... never mind >_<

Major problem. You mean the game won't let you run red lights? I gave up on crackdown because it wouldn't let me massacre bystanders.

You can run red lights. But any damage you cause will count against your final score, so you've got to be pretty careful. Either that, or put on the earf**king siren for the whole trip.

I don't like computer games, but that LA Noire looks f**king great.

Braid... OUCHHH!!!!! This game is amazing but it's really hurting my head! Teary

Just finished L.A. Noire.

I loved it. Very different from the GTA games, apart from the driving around bit (and if that's annoying you, hold triangle instead of pressing it to get in the car and your partner will drive you to where you're going, allowing you to skip the journey).

Either it was a little bit short or I'm too good at these sorts of games but certainly a very enjoyable game. It was a bit of a shame that you can't really 'fail' but I suppose as a sort of playable film that's not too surprising and you do get to replay cases if you want, to improve your score at them.

I do kind of agree with Kevin Murphy about the 'Truth/Doubt/Lie' bit - sometimes they don't seem to make all that much sense but once I realised it was more like 'be nice/be more agressive/call them a scumbag' it got a bit better.

I don't think there's much replay value either but I'm definitely looking forward to being able to download more cases when that become available.

All in all, I think the reviews giving it 8-9/10 are about right - a very good game.

Now to find something else to play until GTA V comes out.

Oh and as far as GTA: San Andreas goes, the easiest way to get somewhere on the map was usually steal a plane and jump out of it when you're above where you want to be.
