Bob's headlining The London Feis next month (the old Fleadh). As someone who's never seen him live I'm extremely tempted.
Bob Dylan - Happy 70th Page 2
Quote: Griff @ May 24 2011, 12:31 PM BSTHe's surprisingly understandable on his radio show. Some of his live performances aren't quite so easy to decode.
Considering the piffle most songwriters come out with it's a pity more aren't indecipherable.
*edited due to chip being annoying*
I could see Mr Dylan appreciating the oddness of this one-
"As part of a week long 70th birthday celebration for Bob Dylan, the city of Duluth is installing two special manhole covers on Tuesday."

The albums of his that I tend to go back to the most at the moment are John Wesley Harding, Blood On The Tracks, Desire and Nashville Skyline.
Bob Dylan is like 'World of Leather'
I am aware of the brand but have no desire to find out more.
A lot of fans can be a bit snooty about Desire but it is highly recommended to those who are not familiar with his work but want somewhere to start. The songs are very accessible while showing how vivid and colourful his storytelling and lyricism is. It was first Dylan album I purchased and never looked back. Great band on Desire as well.
Another disliked album is Slow Train a Comin. People should forget their disapproval of his born again flirtations and judge this record on its merits.
Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde Lesbian Filth Action XXX and Blood on the Tracks are my desert island Bobbies.
*should be in the anagram thread but....

I listen to Desire at least once a week and named my son Dylan. 'nuff said.
And yet you voted for Bush?
Bit like being an Erasure fan who beats up Graham Norton.

I would have definitely gone to this, but sadly it's my brother-in-law's wedding, to which, I have been informed, I am definitely going.
It's a cracking line up on the Saturday too.

Will, you're not building a very strong case against the great man.

Or like being a Morrissey fan and leading The Conservative party.
