Laughing Stock 2011 Page 25
You know, given the closeness of the two deadlines, I'm genuinely surprised there's no crossover between the Laughing Stock and Sitcomission lists.
I was one of the lucky ones who went along to this. It was a great day (although we Mancunians were a little overwhelmed by the tube).
If any of the others are lurking here, congrats and good luck on the next stage! It was really obvious the strong talent we're up against!
I was there too and yes I lurk these boards. Congrats to you as well, and to anyone else who actually finished a script and entered!
Well done, Joel.
Thanks Mikey. You going to the Comedy Writers' Festival tomorrow? I'll be there.
Congrats Joel and sglen!
How was the workshop?

Sorry. Haven't been on the boards for a couple of days.
No. I'm not a lover of those "speaker/seminar" things.
The only reason you saw me at the Broadcast Comedy Forum last September is because one of my sitcoms won me a ticket.

Is that 'Shortlist!' as in 'Here is the shortlist' or 'I have made the shortlist'?
If it's the former, congratulations.

I was meaning the latter.
That doesn't necessarily mean the former isn't true. But I do like to maintain a certain degree of anonymity here.
Love this bit:
"Cheryl thought the standard incredibly high, lines were quoted, images debated and John Dorneys boldness of vision to sumit a comedy script without any dialogue discussed. "
No Dialogue? Blimey.

The BBC are obviously still pissed off that Rowan Atkinson took Mr Bean to ITV.
