Amen, Brother. My lawn is only about 1/6 of an acre but it kicks my ass when it's 100F+ outside. My homeowners association doesn't allow fake grass.

There's something called 'mondo grass' which never gets tall, and so never needs cutting. It's expensive though.

I don't mind the straight bits. Working around the trees and bushes really kills the flow and takes a hell of a lot longer.

I used to have an Irish come and do me, now I have been shingled. Only a small front lawn it twas.

I mow every 5 days. Any more than that and it's like trying to hack my way through the jungle.
I suspect my grass is much different than what is grown in the UK.
