Open mics near Sheffield

I know there won't be a lot, but I'm afraid I can't find any, I'm probably not looking properly, but if any of you know of some it would be a big help.

Thanks.

Try looking on here, http://www.funhousecomedy.co.uk/index.htm, they run some friendly Gong Shows and also have open spots on at most of their nights.

Otherwise look on the http://yorkshirecomedy.com/forum/ or be prepared to travel across to Manchester (where there's a massive open mic circuit).

Good luck.

On Monday the 26th of November, Open Space, The SHRIMPS and The Sheffield Revue will be presenting a very special and utterly dazzling open mic night for stand up comedians.

Featuring special guest performances from The SHRIMPS (improvisational comedy) and The Sheffield Revue (sketch comedy), a 10% discount on drinks for performers, excellent people and a wonderful atmosphere!

Inexperienced and frightened performers are encouraged, as well with seasoned greats! Entry is free so there's really no excuse not to come!

This marvellous evening will be held in the ever wonderful Red House on Solly Street.

Doors OPEN at 7.30pm
Comedy STARTS at 8.00pm

Also - Square Hole at the Red Derr 20:00 Second mondays £4.

Alt.Com.Cab has a sister night called Speaker's Corner, which is an open mic. Contact altcomcab at gmail dot com for a slot. I think it will be running twice a month from 2013 onwards.

Square Hole isn't really an open mic night, it's more of a pro night with open spots now, but it's quite competitive to get a slot there as they're booked up months in advance.
