Best sitcoms over recent months? Page 2

Mehhh Seinfield is overated

BBT wins purely because it's extremely funny

very clever and witty scripts

I find most USA sitcoms rather tedious but BBT packed every episode with LOL moments

& Sheldon is hilarious

Mehhh Seinfield is overated

By whom exactly?

Yeah, in backwards world!! :P

This is Seinfeld and Big Bang Theory we're talking about here... so it'd have to be Bizzaro World where BBT is better than Seinfeld.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I will definitely check out Psychoville, Twenty Twelve (great cast at least) and Friday Night Dinner. The Trip, from what I've seen, seems to be something of a waste of 2 of the best comedy actors of recent years but I will try to get over that and watch it again.

Hopefully it's ok to ask this question here, but has there been any info on new pilots for this year? I know that Tim Vine was making a pilot but have no idea whether it has been picked up. And Red Dwarf's Doug Naylor apparently has a new pilot called Over to Bill but I know nothing about it.

Check out our pilots page for all information relating to such: https://www.comedy.co.uk/guide/pilots/

If something's not listed there, it could be that it's scheduled for broadcast, so check the main list: https://www.comedy.co.uk/guide/

Seinfeld wins purely because it's extremly funny.

With clever and witty scripts. (And more than just the one really funny character)Whistling nnocently

BBT is very funny, I'm not sure many would use the words witty or clever though. It's a big, goofy, colourful sitcom.

Seinfeld's great, but labelling it the greatest/funniest sitcom ever does it no favours. For me 30 Rock, Arrested Development and The American Office are just as funny. Art isn't a competition.

Well said that man.

I would. And I'd object to any notion that it only has one funny character. Seinfeld is a great show, no doubt about it, but The Big Bang Theory is funnier.

And as chipolata said...

Well, it has one clear stand out character. And obviously it's subjective,so I don't think BBT is funnier.

30 Rock and AD I absolutley love, but Seinfeld just about edges them out for me.

:O

Many apologies for having a favourite sitcom. :D Obviously others are going to have other opinions, and they're just as right if that's what they like.

My favourite sitcom is Dad's Army and that's been on over recent months.

Yeah, for me, Leonard.

:Yeah, for me, Leonard.

The only people who think this are probably you and the guy who plays Leonard.

Yeah well tell that to the Sitcom Mission.

I said art.
