Do you GROW? Page 21

I have to do uber weeding later. The green bastards.

Aw, I hate weeding.

I have tomatoes, Bok Choi and lettuce on the go. Plus loads of herbs. Probably some chillis later and will do potatoes and onions next year

And I thought I'd put mine in late!

Outside, under a plastic thingy. (In my parents' garden.)
The carrots I planted outside of the plastic cover are still tiny.

Yep, you'll always find that protected crops will grow quite a bit faster than the exposed 'uns.

My carrots are exposed, currently, but I'm gonna cover them with fleece soon.

How are those dates going?

LOL.....the Ricinus plants are coming along well.

Now that I've found somewhere that plants actually grow, I want to try chillis and fun stuff.
Is it too late to plant things now?

Ooh I have sweet peppers growing too.

Chillis you'll be alright Zooo and go and buy some tomatoes that are a little established. Tumblers are fun in hanging baskets.

Do you mean sowing seeds, or planting out young plants?

You can still sow seeds, but you'll get a reduced crop- and a late one at that. My tip would be to get to B&Q and buy some young plants. I think they are around £2 for 3, or summink.

Oh okay, might buy some plants then.
To Wilkinsons!

(They were the cheapest around here last time I was looking.)

Is Wilkinson your next door neighbour?

Hehe. I do occasionally acquire the odd apple from my neighbour's tree, actually.

Scrumping!!!!

You can also get free plants by taking cuttings from shrubs in car parks and parks, etc.

Daylight shrubbery?

Wilkinson's plants always look like they have been tortured under the stores own fluorescent lighting. Same with B&Q actually, although not quite as bad.
