Writing deadline extended for Messrs Comedy show Page 2

I had a few in the short list but I didnt get anything into the show this time. Best of luck to those who did.

So are they still taking submissions till 31st May?

I'd guess so. Unless they mixed up May with April originally. Anyway, I've just sent a few sketches in.

Ah, sent in something yesterday and just got an email from them saying I have missed the deadline as the show opens on the 27th May..so not sure what the 31st deadline post was about

Yeah, I got that response earlier as well. Fiddlesticks.

I got same response. I emailed them back to ask if my submissions could still be considered for the June show (If the June show is still going ahead) and waiting for reply

Not heard back. Perhaps they're busy preparing for the May show.

Hi everyone, first time posting on these boards...

I emailed the Messrs guys with the same query. Apparently there was a bit of a mix-up with dates and the June shows won't be going ahead... The next shows should be in August/ September though, so any sketches people have written specifically for this show won't be completely wasted I guess. Is anyone going to these May shows by the way? Would be interested in hearing a bit more about the style of the show etc to get a better idea of what kind of stuff they might be looking for

I had a sketch accepted for the May shows, but I can't attend. Would be interested to hear how the shows went from anyone who did manage to get to see the performance.

Hello writers!! Just to clarify, any sketches sent into us now or recently will be considered for our next show which should be September time. (Yet TBC) An advert will be posted to clarify the deadline for all submissions. Many thanks to all who have submitted.

So how did the shows go?

Just had a nice message from one of the Messers comedy group, seems the show went well, getting a better reception over each performance of the short run. My sketch seemed to go down well, though that could be just diplomacy on his part!
