Burybobs' spring joke output Page 2

Thank you sir! You are indeed the Sunshine of my, well, thread, at least :)

On a separate, and very serious note. Has anybody had valve replacement surgery on their heart? I got the bad, bad news from my consultant today at Manchester MRI & am, as they say, number two-ing myself.

My mates dad did
Gave him a new lease of life.

Good luck with everything

Thanks again Steve.

I'm going to post my version of stand-up later. Look forward to peoples opinions. Not sure if a live act is advisable as yet!

Sorry to hear you need valve replacement surgery, hopefully it'll all go well and give you a new lease of life. You seem too young to need that sort of thing, it's not congenital is it?

And I look forward to the posted up version of your jokes!

I was born with a defective heart & had surgery at 10 days old. Seems that the 70s operation has reached its sell by date! Just freaked me out a little, mainly as I'm enjoying life so much at the moment. :)

When the doctor told me I had a leak in my heart I thought it was my Welsh grandmothers fault!

I suppose it's something to talk about in your stand up at least, every cloud and all that.

Thats true. If I word it right we could all be in stitches together. Hoho.

Sorry. :$

So you should be!

As promised, me trying to find a stand-up style for taking onstage. This was done off the cuff to an audience of sheep, bemused farmers & startled hikers, so its not so much warm, friendly, quickfire as twitchy, moody, misfire!

Extras: Region 4 ONLY - (If you look closely during the 'creosote' joke, you can see the scarred chest from my original operation)

Damn, YouTube never seems to work when it's in a channel or whatever it is...

I did laugh audibly at the knitting needles gag! Delivery wise timing was a little bit off for me. Well done for posting! :)

Cheers for the input chaps. (I'm assuming?)
Yeah I agree the timing & delivery need a lot of work, I'm hoping once I've got the jokes & a flowing routine cemented in my head I will be able to appear more natural. Like a comic butterfly emerging from the pupae of stuttering uncertainty. :)

I'll post a link from my pc instead of from my phone, should be easier to open.

Yes familiarity will help, but also don't ever be apologetic in your manner about any of it. And timing is crucial in that.

Once I realise who I 'am' on stage, I think it will fall into place. will have some more video up in a day or two.
Anyone interested in comedy protest football songs in the meantime?
