There was something on the radio today about famous people and their school reports, pointing out how wrong they can be...eg Eric Morcambe's teacher said on his report that 'this boy will never amount to anything'
One of mine said 'Angela manages to hide in class' I wasnt trying to hide but I was quite shy at school. Oh the angst of schooldays! What did it say on your school report?

I often had things along the lines of 'Has the ability, but doesn't apply himself properly'; which is as true now as it was then. They were basically calling me bright but lazy.
They said I was always in the dining hall.

I had (and still have of course) bad dyslexia. But who knew in the 60's and 70's.

I wouldnt have dared laugh at that at school
