Friends gets bashed by the traditionalists, who like it old skool. So old school in fact that they want the Americans to be English.
It's blatant snobbery. Friends is great and funny and well written.
Or they just don't like it, which is fine too.

Oh well - I'm a f*cking snob and I hate it. I wasn't that keen on NGO to start with but at least I can relate to the "jokes".
I used to hate FRIENDS with a passion.
Now, with the benefit of nostalgia, I'm quite happy for it to be background TV. I've got far more important things to hate.

What a strange sense of humour. How can you put Friends before Father Ted & IT Crowd?

How can you take a so called comedy fan who hates Father Ted seriously?? From then on, to me, any opinion with regards comedy that they may vent becomes suspect, as how can you take seriously the words of a Ted hater?
Don't like it. Don't find it funny. Sue me!
Infact, I'd take the Vicar of Dibley over Father Ted, anyday!
I think she could too, fat cow.

So you DON'T like comedy then.
Father Ted defines comedy?
"These cows are small, those are very far away."

Hey WASSSSS$$$UP Birdy!
I like Lee Mack and Tim Vine. Their one liners are better than anyones. The show's O.K. Won't go down as a classic in my opinion...but it's probably the best of all the sitcoms on BBC right now.
"Oh".
Wanders off muttering and shaking head.
