I'm at a bit of a loss to come up with these 'blue collar' sitcom scenarios, so I'm planning to ask my butler for help - apparently he sometimes encounters the working class (travelling tinkers, farmers, tradesmen etc).

The problem with the concept of finding 'blue collar' sitcoms is that sitcom is inherently a middle-class thing. They are, in the main, written and watched by the middle-classes. They may deal with working-class situations, but they are only truly funny when the working-class characters are trying to escape their working-class backgrounds - e.g. Harold Steptoe or Del Boy (the writers of which, though from working-class backgrounds, used writing as a way of escaping their class to some extent). Pretty much all the best sitcoms are aspirational, with the comedy coming from the character(s) failed attempts to move up in some form of social status.
A working-class sitcom where the characters just accepted their lot would be tedious. It also wouldn't appeal to the middle-classes who actually watch these shows.
You won't be pitching at the people making the decisions though will you Matthew?
