No, I never said I eat kebabs.
DAVE - The most overused name in British comedy Page 2
Surely if it had wood it would be a Shish Kebab?

Then you are my kinda guy. *she watches him disapear, rapidly, into the distance.*
*...towards KFC*
Eat my shirts seems to have forgotten to mention Papa Lazarou, who calls almost everyone "Dave".
Anyway, this conversation is just a saga now.

What did you want to spoil things for? There's me thinking that you were an ordinary guy and you just can't can't wait to get to KFC to get your gob round a cock. Really!!
Quote: Seefacts @ December 27, 2007, 2:05 PMIs it because he's a twat?
Eat My Shirts - you ARE a troll and I claim my five pounds.
Don't start with troll stuff this isn't chortle, but EMS... lighten up!
Quote: Eat_My_Shirts @ December 27, 2007, 2:38 PMHey Teletext, if I press 888 will your ineligible spews be replaced by subtitles? It would be kinda useful..
No. No, it won't.
Hey, nothing wrong in writing posh, peeps. Style doesn't mean the author believes their above anyone else, it's the content not style that indicates that.
Leevil, why did you say 'Frasier'? I like Frasier.
I also don't mind people like EMS not liking the comedies I like. It doesn't upset me in the least. The well known phrase "Back, duck, water" springs to mind when I hear contrary opinions to my own. If it wasn't for people disagreeing the forum would be tedium, like an eternal Alex Ferguson press 'interview' where no one is allowed to say anything that isn't positive or agreeable and if they (God forbid) dare to dissent from the masses then they get escorted to the exit.
Being restricted in expression (whether negative - dictatorship and media control - or positive - only allowing government approval) is just as bad as no free speech.
But I do agree that EMS has said a lot about what they don't like but not filled us in much with what they do like ... which would be nice.
EMS say you like "Fresh Fields" please please please.
Dave is a great name. Bring on the Daves.
Coomedy is in the ears & eyes of the beholder. Thats the greatest thing about it.

I'm getting out of here.

Scaredy old cat!
Slag A, EMS doesn't seem to like any comedy. Which begs the question doesn't it.
He did list a few he liked in a thread the other day.
The only part I can remember is that he liked Ricky Gervais, because I was relieved he wouldn't be writing any rants about the poor wee Reading man. I've had enough of those over the months.
The best show ever created, ‘The Sopranos’ is starting on More 4 in literally a few seconds, so I don’t have time for a long moan, although ideally that is what I’d like to do.
Current British comedy sucks. And it angers me a lot. “British Comedy” and “British Sense of humour” has always been held in such high stead all over the world as being unique...etc.. But if the best we can currently do is garbage like Catherine Tate, and Gavin & Stacy..etc.. then that’s VERY SAD.
I’m much more passionate about things I hate, than the things I like. Why is that a surprise? Talking about nice things, and things you like...is BORING. Like a famous internet quote generator once said: “Nothing brings people together more than mutual hatred”. It’s true.
Anyway Sopranos is starting. More moaning later..
