Waltz With Bashir. I didn't think I'd enjoy an animated film about an Israeli soldier trying to remember what he did during the 1982 Lebanon War, but it was very good. Although a bit jarring at the end when they suddenly cut to actual footage of a load of massacred people.
That's ruined the end for everyone...

It's an absolutely brilliant film and the jarring switch at the end is what gives it it's thumping power.
Also made me realise how much I love 80s pop

Maybe. But I don't think they needed it. It was a bit like at the end of What's Love Got To Do With It we see Tina Turner instead of Angela Basset.

Chip I wouldn't off say this but if ou don't get the final sequence, then you just don't get it.

I do get it, I just think it's ramming home the point in a rather heavy handed fashion. "Ooh look, in case you don't realise that shooting civilians is wrong and bad here's some dead people for you to leer at like snuff porn."
No it isn't doing that at all.
It's when the rather slef indulgent hero has to lose the dream/vsgue world of sepia tinged memory and therapy.

Meh. I don't think they needed it. I think they could have made that point in a less clumsy and sledgehammer way, but it's always a pleasure to be patronised and talked down to by you, Sooty.

I think I enjoyed Mean Girls the most.
Last two films I watched were 'Tangled', and I quite enjoyed it. The other movie was 'The Strangers' as mentioned by chip a few pages ago. Started off well, but soon got silly and the ending was annoying.
But I do recommend Tangled if you like that sorta thing.
