Ok Bin Laden is living in a compound next to Pakistan's elite military academy. e.g. it's most loyal and least Islamised forces.
It's a noticably large compound, one suspect very easy to keep an eye on. Not only that but in a country like Pakistan there are checkpoints and patrols all the time (especially near such a large base). No way is a sick man getting out of there in a car boot or what not.
That's no base of operations, it's a best an open prison.

Very depressing day. Story reported as fact across the media. Should've been "US government claims it has killed Osama Bin Laden."
There are so many holes in the story it sounds like a late April fool. He almost certainly died years ago, the c**t was on dialysis after all and had a string of illnesses. He walked with a stick if I remember.
So lame that there's no questioning of the story.

In those final moments, I imagine one of the last thoughts to go through Osama Bin Laden's head was the disappointment of not having quite survived to the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The knowledge that Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps has made it to 10 years must have made that bitter pill even harder to swallow. In a broader sense, it also makes one wonder if the West has really had its priorities right in 'The War On Terror'.

I doubt he died he was making films and audio up until very recently, and I think that would have been hard to fake.
I do think part of the reason we saw no footage, was he was a very sick man. Who wasn't much threat anymore and was just being kept on ice till it was time for his final performance.
Just in time for the restructuring of power in the Middle East. The old proSoviet dynasties going to be replaced by middle class free trade enthusiasts (with the slightest hint of democracy ce'st bon) or being quietened and neutered.
