'Les misraballe' 'Bastardes'

The Wave. Good little German film about a high school experiment on autocracy that slides tragically out of control. Apparently based on a real incident in a California school.

Gran Torino. Pretty good enjoyable little film worth a watch.

Dante's Inferno - Generic. Has Mark Hamill in though which is goood.

THOR!

Not bad. Lots of noise and special effects and a story of sorts.

I used to read all the comics and generally the Marvel films are not what I was expecting. Loads of spectacular fights which I suppose is what they are all about really. (Am I contradicting myself?)

Red Road. Drama about a CCTV Operator who becomes obsessed with a man she sees on one of monitors. Weirdly compelling, although Glasgow does look to be the closest place we have to hell on earth.

The Box. A dark and bonkers conspiracy thriller from the director of Donnie Darko. Not quite as good as Darko, but well worth checking out.

Colin, the £45 zombie movie with a zombie as the hero. Slightly rubbish, but with a certain cheap and cheerless charm. And if the world does ever end, it'll probably end as naffly as this.

I watched A Complete History of My Sexual Failures yesterday which is a charming documentary about a slighty naive and odd film maker who sets out to discover why he's constantly being dumped. I can't quite believe it's 100% genuine, but the journey's entertaining and made me laugh several times. There's a german version of the Robyn in it as well.

I'm interested in that, I recall it got a lot of bad reviews when it came out. He's not having much luck that director!

Yeah, it got mixed reviews. And it's too slow at times, but it's got some interesting ideas and it's refreshingly bleak about humanity.
