Apparently, Jacqui Smith was on Newsnight this week and used the words 'anal' and 'double penetration'.

Well I'd heard that Jacqui Smith had had her loyalty split between the Millibands during the Labour leadership contest but... (etc.)

Dirty bitch! I presume they were used in context, but I bet she slipped them in intentionally, so to speak. I wonder if she's into double anal, or if she prefers spreading it around a bit more...

Does anyone know the law as it relates to refunds vs credit?

We've had a long running dispute with the council who have eventually agreed that they owe us over £2k, and not the other way round.

I got a letter today saying they have credited our account with the amount, but I don't think that's fair, I want my 2 grand back. Can I demand it as a cheque?

If you paid by DD or SO, I think they mean your bank account.

I had similar with Mom's council tax and it went back into the bank account.

Thanks OR, I just checked my Internet Banking in anticipation, but sadly, no!

Damn I was going to spend the rest of the evening looking at holiday web-sites, now I'll just have to spend it on here instead.

It could still be on the way to your bank account.

Banks like to hold transfers in limbo earning interest for the bank, before they reluctantly put it into the target account after a few days.

Of course the computers can do it in seconds, but the bankers pretend it takes 3 days.

:( Gosh, ex father in law' has died, not part of family now, so I must not attend funeral.,
My sons want me to?... what to do? Sick

Would you be welcome, or might they hound you out of the crematorium on sight?

If your sons want to go, are they old enough to go without you?

Have they asked you not to attend?

In which case don't.

It's only a day and you'll have plenty of time afterwards to be there for them.
