It does sound raaaather intriguing. I might give it a go.

Gerald's Game is definitely one of King's best books.

That book sounds horrifying, Sooty.

Oh it is.

It's odd the 60s and 70s had a few examples of this sort of "deep horror" the girl next door is another example.

Rereading Ken Grimwood's Replay, about a man who keeps repeating the same 25 years of his life.

Reading Operation Mincemeat by Ben MacIntiyre. Not as good as Operation Zig-Zag but still very interesting.

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

I really want to get Tina Fey's new book, but the cover is SO FUGLY, I'm going to wait until it comes out in paperback and it hopefully gets a different cover.

I found a Kurt Vonnegut review from the NY Times which might interest Tim and Chip who have also read this: http://www.nytimes.com/books/98/02/15/home/heller-something.html

That's a weird review.

I just pre-ordered Tina Fey's book. The cover is kind of awful.

Well what would you rather have? Mmm? A sexist picture of her with her tits out?
You disgust me, Stott.

Maybe I shall buy it, throw away the cover and make my own.

Or just leave it unfettered. I do rather like a naked book...
