'LOL' or 'Haha'? Page 2

Lolwut.

Well, personally, I pick up the phone and speak to people. Then I will know that either their laughter or mine is genuine.

*checks that his irony font is on*

I ignore funny things on Facebook. I don't like to encourage it because once you've LOLed one person you have to start doing it to everyone. Nightmare.

But, it is polite to just give a bit of a 'haha' to someone writes something in jest to you.....isn't it?

Yeah, I hardly ever 'laugh out loud' at a Facebook message, but I do giggle or smile at a few things. But, you can't say 'smiles' or 'giggles'. You'd look like a knob.

If I give you a LOL, it's because I've genuinely laughed out loud.

You've got to watch how you use it.

My mum still genuinely thinks it means "lots of love", which is why I get text messages like "At hospital. Nan's taken a turn for the worse. Doctor worried. LOL."

Haha! My mum still texts me back and asks 'what's LOL mean?'.....every single time!

LOL.

This is genuinely making me giggle like a girlie. Did you write that joke?

I wrote it, but it's not a joke.

I use LOL in an ironic way. However, it takes a certain intelligence and knowing to be able to perform it in that manner. That's why I always fail. LOL!
