Surprised that there is no thread about the Funny woman competition charging £15 entry? What do we all think? Ladies? I'm thinking of doing my own night to raise money and awareness for women... mock-up poster...
What do you think of the topic as a whole? Are women treated bad?
Awareness of women gullible enough to spend £15 on entering a comedy contest?

I don't know. Maybe if they'd charged an entrance fee for the BBC New Comedy Awards we'd have been spared the career of Justin Lee Collins?
Anyway, it's probably more dignified to have to pay for a stand-up spot than in the old days, when you had to blow the club owner in order to get a gig.

I think it's stupid.
But is it any different to most writing competitions which almost always charge at least £5 or up to £20 enter? (Not that I've ever entered one of them.)
They're all rather annoying.
My biggest issue with the Funny Women comp is the entry form.
You need to provide your Date of Birth and a Photo, but no video link to show you performing.
Why do they need to know how old or how attarctive / ugly you are?
Doesn't seem to be very empowering.

TBH that poster is a bit lame, I think it would be better if you used real tits. I'm sure Tim will pose for you.
